Protect your Skin from Harmful Sun Rays
Summer brings a lot of fun and beach parties. We all love these. But one thing that summer brings is not adored by so many of us. That is the hot summer sun. The sun rays are very harmful our skin. There is a self defense mechanism in the skin that creates a chemical to protect it from the sun rays. This mechanism produces melanin. But when the natural mechanism fails to protect the skin then we might fall victim to so many diseases caused by sun rays. We often opt for sunscreens to protect our skin form harmful sun rays.
We must be careful and try to avoid sun during the mid day or afternoon as at these times of the day, the ultraviolet ray emission is at it’s peak. Avoiding ultraviolet rays can save us from so many harmful effects. Another fact that you should know about ultraviolet rays is, it affects you more when you are nearer to water bodies, snow or even sands. These all reflect the rays and thereby increase the reflection.
A long time exposure to sun rays san eliminate the moisture from the body. So you better keep some good moisturizing agents with you if you are likely to be out there in the sun for a long time.
Never forget to apply enough amount of sunscreen before or after your swimming session. You can use parasol to avoid ultraviolet rays. And remember that ultraviolet rays can attack you even on a cloudy day.
Stay away from sun exposure at the peak hours if it is not that necessary. Use sunscreens, long trousers, full sleeve shirts, hats and uv protecting sun glasses to avoid u-v rays. Make your children go by the rules as the skin cancer we experience at an older age starts at the tender age.
